Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is a Japanese manga series. Written by Tadahiro Miura, the series was serialized in the Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to June 2020 and collected into 24 tankobon volumes. The manga was released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, a publisher in North America. The manga was adapted into an anime television series.
Yuna is a ghost
Yuna is a friendly and charming ghost who keeps her promises to not haunt anyone. She has long white hair and has been cloned from a powerful medium. Before she died, she had sealed her memories and so cannot remember anything about her life before becoming a ghost. This serves as her greatest mystery in the haunted hot springs series. Kogarashi and Yuuna are roommates. Kogarashi tries to convince her to stay with him, but Yuuna is adamant that she doesn’t want to be haunted.
In the manga series, Yuuna has no memory of her life before she became a ghost. She was seen sitting in her wheelchair apathetically during her life. But after she died, she regained consciousness and a ghostly life in Yuragi Inn room four. Although her memory of her life is now a blank slate, she continues to be friendly with the residents of Yuragi-sou. She scares those with low spiritual power, and has become a ghost bound to the Yuragi Inn.
While her spirit body is a sprightly white, translucent and unfathomable substance, Yuuna can transform her clothes into any shape and design she wants. She can also control a person’s body, although this is uncommon. Unlike most ghosts, Yuuna is bound to the Yuragi Inn, although she can leave the premises if she has enough spiritual power.
Like many ghosts, Yuuna was a human before she died. She was severely depressed and used as a test subject for experiments, resulting in her premature death. When she wears her Tenko Spiritual Armor, she assumes a nine-tailed fox-like appearance. In addition, she wears a white triangular-shaped cloth called sankaku no shiroi nuno. She also has a blue wisp above her head.
Kogarashi Fuyuzora is a psychic
The story revolves around the young psychic Kogarashi Fuyuzora, who is possessed by an evil spirit and cursed with huge debts. When his debts are not paid, he ends up in a hot springs inn. In the wake of the apparition, Kogarashi learns that the ghost is his roommate, and he tries to get him to her and pass on to the next world.
Kogarashi is a zashiki-warashi
The story follows Kogarashi, a homeless high school student who is cursed with the ability to see ghosts. While on a mission to exorcise a ghost who has been haunting the Yuragi Inn for years, he stumbles across a mysterious inn. The inn used to be a hot springs inn, but now has scantily clad female tenants. Kogarashi is offered a free room in the inn if he can exorcise the ghost, which turns out to be a beautiful young girl named Yuuna. Kogarashi takes advantage of the free room, but in the process ends up getting caught up in the paranormal hijinks of the inn’s residents and his new schoolmates
Kogarashi is very popular with females. Despite being a spirit medium, he has experienced a lot in his life. He was constantly possessed by several ghosts and missed out on normal life. When he experiences a normal life, he is extremely happy. On the other hand, he is furious if anyone attempts to interfere with his normal life.
After the incident, Kogarashi returns to the facility. He learns that Sakura is now in debt and that the ghost is her father. He goes to visit her and discovers that her uncle paid off the debt for her. Kogarashi breaks down in tears, knowing that he is at fault. However, he assures Sakura that he will pay for her debt himself.
The manga Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs is adapted from a Japanese manga by Tadahiro Miura. The series first began serialization in the Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on February 8, 2016. It is currently collected in tankobon format. An English version of the manga is planned.
Yuna is a clone of Mahoro Tenko
Originally from the same town as Mahoro Tenko, Yuuna is a ghost with deity-like spirits and physical characteristics. She can be both tangible and intangible, and is capable of controlling other spirits if she wishes to. She can also be a ghost in disguise, but only those with high spiritual powers are capable of touching her without her permission. While most people only see a ghostly white silhouette, the Yuuna can be seen by anyone with high spiritual powers.
The story is based on a fictional Japanese manga.
