Turtle Beach Florida

          Turtle Beach Florida

My wife and I lived in a condo in Siesta Key, about 3 / 4 miles from Turtle Beach. On our first night there, we went to Siesta Beach for dinner and then drove down to the beach. Turtle Beach is not as wide as Siesta Beach, but we love it more than Siesta, and we love everything about Siesta.
While you can book a condo in Siesta Key during the year, you may want to spend a day exploring one of the lesser known beaches, Turtle Beach, and the sandy beaches.

TURTLE BEACH takes its name from the numerous loggerhead turtles that nest along the coasts, and it is a great place to escape the crowds on the public beaches of Siesta Keys. Tucked away at the southern end of Siesta Key, Turtle Beach is a must on your Siesta Island vacation. If you are travelling from the popular Siesta Beach at the northern end of the island, visit this quieter part of the island paradise.
Turtle Beach is the quieter beach between Crescent Beach and Siesta and is a public beach that is best suited for small children and older adults who have difficulty walking on the soft sand or jogging or cycling. The sand at Turtle Beach is rough and the beach slopes down quickly, so fewer people are suitable for snorkeling. The water at Turtle Beach gets deeper than on the rest of the island.

Turtle Beach is on the south side of the island, far away from many of the bustling spots of Siesta Beach. It is located along Midnight Pass Road at the southern end of Siesta Key’s 9,000 blind pass road. The road continues for a short distance to Turtle Beach, but then it ends in a dead end.

TURTLE BEACH is located at the southern end of Siesta Key south of the Stickney Point Road Bridge that connects the island to the neighboring mainland. Turtle Beach is wedged between the Gulf of Mexico and Blind Pass Inlet and is perfect for kayaking and paddling. The beach is just three miles from our beach apartment rentals, and access by bike, car or island-free trolley from the island is a breeze.

My wife and I love the beach and wanted a place for our 35 foot camper so we could camp with easy access to sand and sun. The dirt in the toilet block of the Turtle Beach campsite was brought to the attention of the owners and they never did anything about it. The sad thing is that we had a young woman from the US who had never camped here before she rejected her experience.
