St. Louis is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts

Raging Rivers in Grafton and Raging Waves in Yorkville will reopen on Saturday, May 28, in advance of Memorial Day. The parks are working on a new super slide, the Mississippi Monster, for the 2022 season. It will feature hidden chambers and multiple tracks of enclosed tubes. The parks will also upgrade their food and beverage offerings and add shaded areas.
It has a historic district
The first weekend of May in 2022 will mark the return of the popular Swiss Avenue Historic District Mother’s Day Home Tour. The event is back this year, on May 7 and 8. Six homes will be open to tour. Food trucks and a garden cafe will provide lunch and beverages for visitors. There will also be a vintage auto display and horse-drawn carriage rides. Throughout the weekend, neighborhood tour guides will share stories and facts about the homes. The historic district encompasses portions of surrounding streets and is designated as a state historic district.
It has a zoo
If you’re looking for a fun and memorable weekend getaway, try spending the day at the Smithsonian National Zoo. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. However, you’ll need an entry pass for each guest to enter the zoo. Additionally, the zoo is implementing COVID-19 safety measures, based on guidance from local governments.

In its second annual “Dance Again” music festival, SiriusXM is bringing together the biggest names in dance music to take place over Memorial Day Weekend in 2022. Featuring performances by Martin Garrix, Kaskade, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, and deadmau5, this festival promises to be a must-attend event. It will be broadcast across four of the network’s dance channels.
The Sunset Festival is the most iconic event of Memorial Day Weekend, and is a fun and exciting family event for everyone. The weekend includes more than 40 bands, live music, and beach entertainment. The festival is held at the beautiful Heavenly Gondola, with food vendors, art installations, and a 100ft ferris wheel.
