While the names Vegito and Gotenks have the same fusion, they actually have a few differences. For instance, Vegito has the better time limit. Also, Vegito can reach SSJ3, while Gotenks cannot. This means that the Vegito-Gotenks comparisons are a little more limited in scope.
Vegito also has more advanced technology. He has a ‘big bang’ attack and a ‘flying kick’. In addition, he has a ‘big bang’ fusion of the ‘Big Bang’ and the ‘Final Flash’.

Though Vegito and Gotenks are the only characters that can be’saved’ during time travel periods, they are not ‘locked’ to those times.
Vegito’s signature attack, the Final Kamehameha
