The Hermitage Park, located in Hermitage Hills, is a great place to start your Nashville hiking experience. This 1.5 mile hike features a variety of scenery, including a waterfall and stream. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, so there’s no need to worry about getting home late!
Walking trails in Centennial Park offer a scenic journey through 11 acres of forest, meadows and lakes. There are several loops that vary in length from 1.5 miles to 5 miles. The trails close at 8 p.m., but there’s an extensive trail system with connections that allows you to extend your walk if needed.
Another great option for families is the 2-mile Bicentennial National Riverwalk, located in downtown Nashville near the Gulch. This paved riverwalk has wide walking lanes and plenty of benches for taking a break along the way.
