I visited Dundee River in Baltimore. It is an amazing creek near downtown. This was the best place to explore kayaking and admire the stunning landscapes and great bird-watch. I’ve even seen the occasional blackbird. The other birds are swans, baldeagles and ospreys. During the trip through Dundee Creek, there is a choice of kayaking trails. The Chesapeake Bay route is longest and hardest and makes for an enjoyable kayaking experience. Guests with children are allowed to explore upstream or downstream tributaries of the Gunpowder River. Whatever your choice will bring an exciting adventure with the kids in the family.
Triadelphia Reservoir
Triadelphia Reservoir is an artificial river reservoir located near Patuxent. The waters here are relatively calm during the entire summer. Several novel kayakers visit it for avoiding rough current and causing problems in navigation. There is a kayak launch via Greenbridge Rd. Then you have to take the final exit. Unfortunately we do not offer a kayak rental service – you will need to book an appointment. Triadelphia reservoir is near Baltimore, so you can easily buy a kayak or any other piece of gear you need for your trip. Then you must obtain an approved permit from your local wildlife office to kayak here.

When I heard of Assateaga National Beach, my mind immediately jumped to these beautiful beaches. Is it really true? I didn’t find myself disappointed in the visit. The beaches are stunning. There are plenty of water sports enthusiasts who enjoy this region. It was a popular tourist destination for the past decade. For kayakers it is worth visiting Assateague National seashore for their next trip to Assateague. Aside from kayaks, you can also watch wild ponies at your leisure. Ponies have lived along the coasts since around 300000 years and don’t go far in a long time.

A canoe is therefore not suitable to paddle solo in strong currents.

Deer Creek has a really easy course, particularly if you are an active recreational or kayaker beginner. It is a quiet lake, and you can take your family on a hike with the kayak. Although the Creek is not very long it has three launching points but the view from Eden Mill Park is stunning. And the nature is amazing.

The route is from West Virginia to Maryland. Ideally, you should take a longer trip. Lower Yough is surprisingly peaceful with plenty of activities suitable for children. Nevertheless, YOUG’s Class IV Rapids can be challenging for children.
Eden Mill Park/Deer Creek, Maryland
Deer Creek in Eden Mill Park is an excellent option for beginners or relaxing lovers. This 116-acre park is ideal for an extended trip that involves kayaking and hiking. Despite its relatively short distance, it makes Eden Mill Park special in the crowd and in the landscape. The vegetation along the bank is spectacular and the wildlife is breathtaking. Deer Creek is relatively small and has only three launch points. It’s not important.
